LET'S WORK TOGETHER

America is carrying a rising wave of senior loneliness, and it is hitting families and care teams harder every year. Many older adults spend long days without meaningful interaction, which chips away at their confidence and sense of place. When the connection fades, everything else slows down. This sense of disconnection is why innovations that rebuild human presence matter. The San Diego 4.0 VR for Good campaign gives seniors a way to feel part of the world again. Seniors don't simply watch a park or hiking trail. They "enter it" to feel movement, space, and life around them.

INTRODUCING THE BRINKMAN BRIDGE

THE BRINKMAN BRIDGE

The Brinkman Bridge describes the moment a person places on a VR headset and feels connected to another place in a meaningful way. Their body remains in the present location, yet their mind and emotions experience presence somewhere else. This approach focuses on human impact first. It is not about replacing reality. It is about restoring connection, memory, and possibility when physical limitations exist.

The Brinkman Bridge is delivered through a clear six step process that leaders and teams can repeat. Create your own in six easy steps by defining VR Recipients, establishing VR Themes, selecting VR Participants, building VR Environments, guiding VR Experiences, and planning VR Delivery. Each step brings structure to what

  1. 360/VR Recipients
  2. 360/VR Themes
  3. 360/VR Participants
  4. 360/VR Environments
  5. 360/VR Experiences
  6. 360/VR Delivery

There are Four Types of VR Experiences within the Brinkman Bridge.

  1. 360 Personal Experiences
  2. 360 Community Experiences
  3. Shared VR Experiences in the Real Reality
  4. Shared VR Experiences in a VR World
